Inspiration Point: "Yohji Yamamoto: This is My Dream"

Yohji Yamamoto has long been one of my biggest inspirations (just ask my dog, Yohji). I won't say "favorite designers" because Mr. Yamamoto is so much more (and he eschews the term anyway). I'm psyched about the fall release of "Yohji Yamamoto: This is My Dream," a 30-minute documentary tracking the monthlong lead-up to a Y-3 fashion show during New York fashion week. Adidas created Y-3 in collaboration with Mr. Yamamoto and the brand collaborative is just now entertaining extension categories such as eyewear and fragrance after 10 years of steadfast partnership and measured growth. A great example of how to build a loyal following without resorting to hit-and-run hook-ups.
